This article, developed by students of the masters course Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1º. Ciclo do Ensino Básico, from the higher education school Escola Superior de Educação de Paula Frassinetti, aims to highlight the importance of planning and evaluating space in Pre-School Education and its contribution to the personal and social growth of children.
To do this, we consider relevant to focus on the aspects that should be taken into account in the planning and evaluation of space in a Pre-School setting, both indoors and outdoors, being that regarding the outdoor space we will highlight the Mud Kitchen, referring to its benefits and potential, as this space was observed, by the authors, in their supervised teaching practice in Pre-School Education.
