Abstract

This article describes in broad terms the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on school education in Germany. Different formats came into view in the various phases. In addition to the technical and logistical requirements, the consequences for the learning behaviour of pupils were examined.

Dirk Oesselmann, Evangelische Hochschule Freiburg

David T. Hansen is the Weinberg Professor in the Historical and Philosophical Foundations of Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, where he also directs the Program in Philosophy and Education. Hansen has written widely on education in books such as Exploring the Moral Heart of Teaching (2001, Teachers College Press), The Teacher and the World (2011, Routledge), and Reimagining the Call to Teach: A Witness to Teachers and Teaching (forthcoming, Teachers College Press).
