2026-06-08

This call for papers aims to highlight scientific work produced within the training of education and social professionals in Africa, addressing complex childhood challenges across school, family, and community contexts. It calls for interventions that view the child holistically, considering factors that shape well-being, development, and learning.

The contributions stem mainly from master’s and doctoral research, demonstrating strong links between training, intervention, and knowledge production. They adopt context-sensitive approaches while engaging with universal principles of human development, children’s rights, and social justice.

Topics include contemporary challenges in childhood intervention; public policies and legal frameworks; well-being and learning; work with families and communities; inclusive education; and professional development. Together, these studies present graduates as agents of change, working within multiprofessional teams to support children’s holistic development and active citizenship.

This call seeks not only to disseminate research but also to strengthen an emerging field, fostering dialogue across contexts and expanding debate on educational and social intervention in African childhoods.
